Project Life 2012: April part 4

As always, linking up to The Mom Creative's weekly PL link party . If you're visiting my blog from there - thanks, it's lovely to see you; and if you haven't been there yet, do take the opportunity to hop on over.

Before I start, I'll preface by apologising for the less than stellar photos of my layout. It's been pretty miserable, dark and wet weather here in Scotland, which doesn't make for great photo-taking!

As usual, here is the overview of the page.

Last week, I was feeling a little run-down and not at my most glam. My rosacea was flaring up and my grey roots were more than peeking through. A trip to the hairdressers soon sorted that out. Not only did my grey magically disappear, but the joy of being pampering, head massage and all, certainly made me feel a whole lot better.

Chloe recently installed the Instagram app on her ipod, and has been having fun testing it out. I particularly love this shot she took of herself and posted on facebook. Honestly, without facebook, I'd hardly ever get any of the pics she takes! Big thanks to MZ from this mum!

I also had the joy of attending parents evening last week - I blogged about it here, and it definitely was worth inclusion into this PL page:

To add to the post-hair salon bliss, I then entered a competition on twitter - and won a signed copy of Lucy Dillon's 'The Secret of Happy Ever After'.  I'm a total bibliophile, so this news made my day. I did a mini screen shot, added some journaling and popped in a photo of the book cover:

It wasn't all good news though - I had a near disaster when the shower broke mid-wash during the week. Argh! Luckily it's all fixed now, and I can laugh about it.

The bottom row is about our trip to Glasgow on Saturday - including a photo of Chloe's latest acquistion of a new ring (she is an accessory-aholic), a card from the Chinese Buffet where we ate as it's Miss C's fave place, some journaling, and a photo of my latest stationery haul. Sigh.

April part 4 - done!

  4. Sounds like y'all had a great week (minus the shower breaking).
I ♥ the pic of you w/ your new hair color.
I am going to have to start using your phrase "accessory-aholic" b/c I am one, too.
I refer to myself as the jewelry junkie! :)

    1. It was a fab week, and thanks - I love my new do!
Yes, I use that phrase too. My jewel junkie card was in an older PL post with photos of some of my huge jewellery collection.
Accessories rock - they always fit!

  7. What a wonderful week. I see so many blessings packed into this page. Do you print text onto cards or use digital cards?

    1. PL is definitely helping me appreciate all those blessings too!

I do both for my journal cards. I have a collection of paper journal cards, and sometimes I'll handwrite onto them, because I want to include my handwriting, and I'll occasionally print onto them.

But I also love the flexibility and ease of use of all my digi cards, especially all the lovely freebies provided by amazing creative artists online!

  8. Hi Jules, again your pages are wonderful, love the cut and colour, due to hormone changes and a couple of reactions to a hair dye, l have grown out my colour in the last 4 months, some days l hate not having colour in my hair and other days l think , oh well , grow old gracefully, well done on winning the book, hope your job searching is going ok, and lm glad your showers fixed.my PL is going to be late, so l might add 2 weeks next week, have a great week and l hope the weather improves in beautiful Scotland

    1. The book was fab; the job search not so much - but I remain optimistic - sure the right job is out there!
The weather is so-so - it's currently very changeable, veering between bright sunshine and torrential showers. They say you can experience all 4 seasons in one day in Scotland, and that's totally true. Still, all the rain does help keep our lovely countryside all green!

  9. So glad you got a chance for some pampering, my mom has rosacea and flairs can really affect how she's feeling. Love how you incorporated being a Twitter winner :) Stationary also makes me happy!

    1. Yes, my rosacea can be draining, especially when it flares up just when you have somewhere special to go. Make up does help a little though. I hope your mother is feeling good just now!
Stationery is such a treat, huh?!
